Quarry Bay School, built in 1924, has been part of the English Schools Foundation since 1980. The school is committed to achieving excellence in primary education for students aged 5 to 11 years within the international community of Hong Kong. The curriculum followed is the International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme, which closely incorporates the British National Curriculum. English language is considered to be at the heart of the programme, but students also have three to four hours of Putonghua and Chinese per week. Every effort is made by members of staff to provide students with an intellectually, socially, and physically stimulating environment where all-round development of students is nurtured. There is also a strong commitment to extra-curricular activities.
