Hong Kong International School was founded in 1966 by Christian business leaders and members of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. The school provides an American-style education with a Christian context, while also respecting the spirituality of other faiths. The School enrolls over 2,500 day students from Pre-School through to Grade 12. 40 nationalities attend the English-language programme which also includes Putonghua, computer studies and the arts. Outbound trips to mainland China, community service, drama, student council and interest clubs round out the curriculum.
